PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose a spot welding method for a high tensile strength galvanized steel sheet capable of preventing cracks of a spot welding part in the high tension galvanized steel sheet and forming a high quality welding part. SOLUTION: The spot welding is applied to the high tensile strength galvanized steel sheet by adjusting a shape of an electrode to be used and an energizing time so that an appropriate electric current rangeΔI becomes 1.0 kA or more, preferably 2.0 kA or more which can stably form a nugget having a desired nugget diameter d or more and molten remaining thickness of 0.05 mm or more in the spot welding of the high tensile strength galvanized steel sheet. The energizing time is 2 cycles or more, preferably in a range from 3 cycles or more to 15 cycles or less. The electrode having such a shape that a tip diameter is the desired nugget diameter or more and a tip radius R of curvature is 40 mm or more is preferably used. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
