PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compression molding machine in which a molding quality is improved by compression molding with an accurate clamping position by maintaining the parallelism of molds. SOLUTION: The compression molding machine comprises the fixed mold 18 supported to a fixed platen 28 and provided so as to be able to be taken out in a direction crossing with the clamping direction from the mold clamping position R, the movable mold 19 supported to a movable platen 38 and provided so as to be separated from or brought into contact with the fixed mold 18, and the mold opening/closing mechanism 41 for opening or closing the mold 19 with respect to the mold 18 by rotatably driving a screw shaft 43 connected to the platen 39.
