<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article control system capable of controlling articles nearly in real time by providing information on not only the mutual identification of the articles but also the physical conditions such as temperatures and the histories thereof and the information on the articles even if the articles are collected in unspecified places in a warehouse an immediately utilizing the information when the information is retrieved from an article control information carrier. <P>SOLUTION: A bar code in an article slip 5A attached to an article 4A and temperature recording data on a temperature recording device 12A are, for example, read by a handy terminal 13.
