PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a lubricating grease composition particularly suitable for use in a tribology system composed of steel and a plastic such as a bearing guide, and a joint in a chassis of an automobile. SOLUTION: This lubricating grease composition comprises a major amount of a lubricating base oil, at least one thickening agent and at least one friction coefficient-reducing agent, where the friction coefficient-reducing agent has a specific surface area of at least 100 m<SP>2</SP>/g and contains a metal oxide selected from the group consisting of titanium oxide, silicon dioxide, aluminum oxide and tin dioxide.
