PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a rolling oil composition which enhances productivity and exhibits excellent uneven-gloss-preventing effects. SOLUTION: This cold rolling oil composition for a transition metal comprises a base oil comprising at least one selected from among a mineral oil, oils and fats and a synthetic oil, and incorporated thereinto, 0.005-10 mass% of at least one oxygen-containing compound selected from among (A1) an alkylene oxide adduct, having a number-average molecular weight of at least 100 and less than 1,000, to a polyhydric alcohol bearing 3-6 hydroxy groups, (A2) a hydrocarbyl ether or ester of (A1), (A3) a polyalkylene glycol having a number- average molecular weight of at least 100 and less than 1,000, (A4) a hydrocarbyl ether or ester of (A3), (A5) a 2-20C dihydric alcohol, (A6) a hydrocarbyl ether or ester of (A5), (A7) a 3-20C trihydric alcohol and (A8) a hydrocarbyl ether or ester of (A7), and 0.1-70 mass% of an oily agent.
