PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for removing the burr retained in a short columnar resin material used as a working material by sawing in a small width without unevenness early by a machine instead of a hand. SOLUTION: The method for removing the burr of the short columnar resin material comprises the steps of positioning out the short columnar resin material Z by a centering means 12, holding both circular end faces between coaxially arranged upper and lower separate shafts, minimizing the rotary deflection by a rotation support means 13 which can integrally rotate, and removing the burr by a removing means 14 for bumping both cutting blades placed in a predetermined height position from the end face in an outer diameter reference to bring both the blades into contact with the positions.
