The invention relates to a method for fixing an insert (6), which can be used as an assembly element, in a component (1) consisting of a lightweight material, especially a metallic cellular material. To this end, the component (1) is provided with a recess (2) into which a body (5) consisting of thermoplastic material is inserted. For introduction into the recess (2), the insert (6) is fixed to a sonotrode (9) which is used to plastify the thermoplastic material and thus to join the insert (6) to the component (1) in a material fit, and in a fixed and positively locking manner, in the region of the recess (2). |
