<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control system making it possible to specify any usable terminal and its user, while preventing control information from being altered by other users. <P>SOLUTION: A PDA slot 16 is connected by a USB 25 to a system controller 17 of an endoscope system 1 controlling a plurality of medical instruments such as electric scalpels; when a PDA 15 is mounted in the PDA slot 16, an MPU 28 of the system controller 17 determines if the PDA 15 is the one registered by PDA terminal registration/identification software 27 and if the user is the registered user; only when they are registered, the GUI software 26 of the PDA 15 is activated and the user is allowed to control the operation of the medical instruments. To record the control information, it is recorded in a recording device 33 in such a way that a different area is allocated to each user so as to prevent the control information of each user from being altered by other users. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
