METHOD FOR PRODUCING MODIFIED FLUORORESIN AND MEMBER USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fluororesin member having excellent radiation resistance by modifying a fluororesin without heating it to its crystal melting point or above. SOLUTION: An object comprising a fluororesin is irradiated with ionizing radiation under a condition in which the temperature of the object is not raised to the crystal melting point of the fluororesin to modify the fluororesin. The dosage rate and radiation dose of the ionizing radiation are set so that the crystal melting point of the part modified by the ionizing radiation is lowered than that before the radiation.
