PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent damages such as breakage of a ceramic-made tip having a hole caused by a clamping concerning a turning tool formed by clamping the tip with a shaft part of a clamping means. SOLUTION: The turning tool 1 is formed by clamping the tip 21 by inserting the shaft part 35 of the clamping means into a hole 23 in the tip 21, and pressing a corner part 38b formed of the outer peripheral surface 37 of the shaft part and a first chamfer 38a provide for an angle formed by the tip surface 36 and the outer peripheral surface 37 of the shaft part onto the inner peripheral surface 25 of the hole 23. The turning tool has the first chamfer 38a and a second chamfer 38b in a part that is a corner formed with the outer peripheral surface 37 of the shaft part 35 and is pressed onto the inner peripheral surface 25 of the hole. The second chamfer 38b is pressed onto the inner peripheral surface 25 of the hole 23 in a micro surface contact state. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
