PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a folding fan which eliminates troubles in the handleability thereof or the like by adding to a frame part making up the body thereof negative ion generation functions of constantly emitting negative ions along with far infrared rays radiation characteristics useful for human living environments. SOLUTION: After the treatment of the frame body, made from a wood material, making up the body of the folding fan with a pyroligneous acid, a liquid composition with the negative ion generation functions is applied on the frame body in a coating layer.
