PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broach shank grappling device that has no axial clearance between neck parts of a broach shank and claw members when a body grapples the broach shank, giving no axial move or vibration between the both during broach machining, providing no bad effect on a machining accuracy or the service life of the broach. SOLUTION: This grappling device has a lower claw 16 that is movably engaged with a radial hole 29 in the body 1 and has an inward end capable of abutting on the first neck part 21 of the broach shank 30, and an upper claw 2 that is movably engaged with a radial hole 32 in the body 1 and has an inward end capable of abutting on the second neck part 23 of the broach shank 30. In a state where the lower claw 16 is butted on the first neck part without clearance and the upper claw 2 is butted on the second neck part without clearance, the broach shank 30 is axially grappled to the body 1 without clearance with a land part 34 sandwiched by the lower claw 16 and the upper claw 2.
