PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easy to move and assemble height gage able to make accurate measurements even if a cursor 10 rises and falls in an irregular fashion. SOLUTION: In the height gage, a lower columnar body 5 and an upper columnar body 6 provided with the cursor 10 are telescopically and loosely fitted together and constant force springs are locked to both columnar bodies in such a manner as to function as springs.
