PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cloth treatment method and cloth treatment equipment which can easily separate≥2 kinds of fibers of cloth including these fibers.

SOLUTION: The cloth treatment equipment S for the cloth including the wool fibers and the polyester fibers has hydrothermal reaction treatment equipment 2 for subjecting the cloth to hydrothermal reaction treatment, a controller CONT for setting the hydrothermal reaction treatment equipment 2 at prescribed temperature and pressure conditions under which the wool fibers can be decomposed and the polyester fibers cannot be decomposed and a solid-liquid separator 3 for separating solids from the treated liquid formed in the hydrothermal reaction treatment equipment 2.
