PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make compact an electric rice cooker and at the same time prevent the generation of a gap at in front of the body of the rice cooker. SOLUTION: In the electric rice cooker having the rice cooker body 1 comprising a drum case 5, a bottom member 6, a protection frame 7, and a shoulder member 8, a center O' of the protection frame 7 is positioned at the rear side of a center O in the rice cooker body 1, the protection frame and the bottom member 6 are connected by connecting means 35, 35, and the like located at a position on the same circumference with the center O' of the protection frame 7 as a reference, at the same time a control substrate 14, a power supply substrate 13, and a cooling fan 18 and a metal heat sink 20 for cooling the power supply substrate 13 are arranged in front of a space section 4 in the rice cooker body 1, thus preventing gas that is generated due to the biasing of a connected load from being generated due to the load of the cooling fan 18 and the metal heat sink 20.
