PURPOSE: A tension mask frame assembly for a color cathode ray tube is provided to attenuate the vibration of a tension mask by forming the first and the second dampers at a non-opening portion of a sectional side of the tension mask. CONSTITUTION: A tension mask(30) includes an opening portion(31) and a non-opening portion(32). A frame(40) is used for supporting both end portions of the tension mask in order to apply the tensile force to the tension mask. The first damper has the first and the second attenuation portions including insertion portions. An edge of an end portion of the tension mask is inserted into the first and the second attenuation portions. An anti-separation member is used for preventing the separation of the first damper from the edge of the tension mask. The second damper is installed into the first and the second attenuation portions.
