<p>The efficiency and productivity of a manufacturing facility are increased by providing a procedure for dynamically matching service requestors with service providers. In addition, embodiments of the present invention envision that those service providers currently capable of providing the requested service are matched with service requestors. In particular, during process plan execution, communications or messages are transmitted by service providers facilitating identification of services currently capable of being provided. Similarly, service requests are transmitted from service requestors. Subsequently, both the service offers and the services requests are placed in one dispatch station associated the requested service. There, the service requestors are grouped with the service providers to form service requestor/service provider groups. The service requestor/service provider groups may then be ranked and provided as options for dispatch. After ranking, a single service requestor/service provider group can be automatically selected, validated according to user-difined run rules, and then dispatched to fulfill the service demand.</p> |
