PURPOSE: A method for fabricating a grain oriented electrical steel sheet with low magnetostriction and a magnetic annealing device used for the same are provided to lower magnetostriction of the grain oriented electrical steel sheet by applying a magnetic field in a desired direction. CONSTITUTION: Magnetostriction of a grain oriented electrical steel sheet is measured by varying stress applied to the grain oriented electrical steel sheet before magnetic annealing process is carried out. If a magnetostriction value of a grain oriented electrical steel sheet is in a range of -0.5x10¬-6 to 0.5x10¬-6, stress corresponding to the magnetostriction value is determined as critical stress. If stress applied to the grain oriented electrical steel sheet is lower than critical stress, a longitudinal direction magnetic annealing is carried out. If stress applied to the grain oriented electrical steel sheet is larger than critical stress, a transverse direction magnetic annealing is carried out.
