PURPOSE: An apparatus for processing an input signal of an LCD monitor is provided to prevent analog devices from affecting a digital dot clock so as to minimize deterioration of quality. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for processing an input signal of an LCD monitor includes the first and second signal input units(100,300), a receiver(200), a multiplexer(400), a video signal processor(500), and a microcomputer(600). The first signal input unit receives a digital video signal. The receiver receives the digital video signal and separates horizontal/vertical synchronous signals and dot clock from the signal. The second signal input unit receives an analog video signal and separates horizontal/vertical synchronous signals and dot clock from the analog video signal. The multiplexer accepts the horizontal and vertical synchronous signals and dot clock from the receiver or the second signal input unit to selectively output the signals. The video signal processor receives the selected signal to process the signal into a signal to be displayed on an LCD module. The microcomputer outputs a control signal to the multiplexer to select the horizontal/vertical synchronous signals or dot clock. |
