PURPOSE: A digital broadcast displaying system and a method for operating the system are provided to display the kind of a received data broadcast to allow a user to easily decide whether or not the user watches the data broadcast. CONSTITUTION: A digital broadcast displaying system(200) includes a user display setting unit(210), a data broadcast informing controller(220), and an image display(230). The user display setting unit receives the kind of a data broadcast in which a user is interested from the user, and stores information about the kind of the data broadcast. The data broadcast informing controller judges the kind of a received data broadcast and compares the kind of the received data broadcast with the kind of the data broadcast stored in the user display setting unit, to control whether or not the user is informed of the reception of the data broadcast. The image display displays the receiving state of the data broadcast. |
