DATA BUS SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A data bus system and a method for controlling the same are provided to execute a normal bus operation with only one bus and to improve an efficiency of a bus by replacing only a signal line having a trouble in the case that the trouble is generated in at least one signal line which constitutes one bus. CONSTITUTION: A bus signal sensing unit in a bus interface of a master module tests a state of signal lines in a data bus and reports the test result to a microprocessor of the master module(S10). The microprocessor of the master module receives the test result(S20). The microprocessor of the master module analyzes the test result and judges whether signal lines having a trouble exist(S30). If the signal lines having the trouble exist, the microprocessor decides redundant signals for replacing the signal lines having the trouble(S40). The microprocessor of the master module reports the redundant signals to microprocessor of a slave module through a maintenance signal line of the data bus. Each microprocessor of the master module and the slave module replaces the signal lines having the trouble with the redundant signals(S50). A bus signal selection unit in the bus interface of the master module and the slave module is connected to the selected signal lines and transmits data(S60).
