PURPOSE: A probe designing method is provided to make it possible to detect single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNP) or mutant oligonucleotides in precise and reliable manners. CONSTITUTION: In a method of designing probes for detecting two or more single SNPs or mutant oligonucleotides at the neighboring locations, a probe for detecting one of the two or more mutations is positioned at a predetermined region. Another probe for detecting the neighbor to the former mutation is positioned within the predetermined region. The combination of probes for detecting two or more concurrent mutation neighbors is positioned within the predetermined region. The neighboring locations are made within the base section of 1-50bp.
