APPARATUS FOR EXCHANGING WORK ROLL IN SKIN PASS MILL

PURPOSE: A work roll exchanging apparatus for a skin pass mill is provided to improve workability and productivity and to reduce initial equipment investment cost by performing a roll exchanging work while fixing a guide rail. CONSTITUTION: A work roll exchanging apparatus(1) is installed at a work-side of a mill housing(150) so as to safely and rapidly perform a roll exchanging work. The work roll exchanging apparatus(1) includes a lower transfer car(10), a shifting car(20), a push/pull car(30) and a driving section. The lower transfer car(10) has a hexahedral frame structure, in which a plurality of moving wheels mounted on a lower rail(11) are installed at both sides of the lower transfer car(10) in such a manner that the lower transfer car(10) is slidably moved along the lower rail(11), which is arranged in parallel to a center of a roll of the mill housing(150). A driving shaft is coupled to the moving wheel through a universal joint.
