DISPLAY SYSTEM INCLUDING FORMAT CONVERTER

PURPOSE: A display system including a format converter is provided to convert input video signals having various formats into video signals with a single format to obtain optimum picture quality. CONSTITUTION: A display system includes a format converter(208), a driver(210), and a deflection driver(218). The format converter receives video signal having various formats and converts the video signals into video signals having similar horizontal frequencies. The driver drives a display according to the video signals converted by the format converter. The deflection driver generates a deflection signal suitable for the converted video signals on the basis of horizontal and vertical frequencies of the converted video signals to provide the deflection signal to the display.
