APPARATUS FOR ALIGNING SLAB

PURPOSE: A slab alignment apparatus is provided to prevent a slab from being damaged by forming a tube type guide roll, which guides the slab when performing a centering work for the slab. CONSTITUTION: A slab alignment apparatus includes a detecting section(10) installed at both sides of a roller table(1) in order to detect an aligning state of a slab, an alignment section(20) for aligning the slab according to a detecting signal of the detecting section(10), and a conveying section(30) for conveying the slab to be aligned by the alignment section(20). The detecting section(10) has a supporting member(11) installed at both sides of the roller table(1). A fixing plate(12) is mounted on an upper surface of the supporting member(11). A switch(13) is coupled to an end of the fixing plate(12). A fixing shaft(14) is positioned between the supporting members(11). A rotating member(16) is coupled to both ends of the fixing shaft(14).
