PURPOSE: A forward power control method of a broadband WLL(Wireless Local Loop) system is provided to enhance the speech quality of a terminal when the terminal is positioned in a cell overlap area by applying various parameters and control unit operation algorithms. CONSTITUTION: It is judged whether it is in a sequence state(S101). If it is not in the sequence state, it is judged whether it is a forward power control according to channel allocation(S107). If it is not the forward power control according to channel allocation, it is judged whether it is a forward power control according to channel release(S145). If it is not the forward power control according to channel release, it is judged whether a CCU(Channel Card Unit) has received a forward power control flag(S185). If the CCU has received the forward power control flag, it is judged whether a value of the CCU of a received message is '1'(S187,S189). If the value of the CCU is not '1', it is judged whether a forward power control value is '1'(S193). If the forward power control value is '1', a total power weight is the maximum forward power control value(S195). It is judged whether an allowed power weight value is larger than the total sum of power weights(S199). If the allowed power weight value is smaller than the total sum of power weights, the forward power control is disabled and the power weight value is managed(S201).
