PURPOSE: A thermochromic composition for painting and a painting method using the composition are provided, which composition is used to the product requiring special coating and abrasion resistance. CONSTITUTION: The thermochromic composition comprises 100 parts by weight of a thermochromic ink; 25-30 parts by weight of a curing agent; 180-220 parts by weight of a common paint; 80-120 parts by weight of a diluent; and optionally 5-10 parts by weight of an additive. Preferably the thermochromic ink is an epoxy ink; and the curing agent is triethylenetetramine, polyamide resin or 2,4,6-tris(dimethylaminomethyl)phenol. The common paint is an epoxy primer-based paint if the product to be painted is an aluminium-based material and is an acryl polymer-based paint if the product to be painted is a soft plastic material such as propylene carbonate and acrylobutadiene-styrene resin. |
