<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device capable of following up peaks with high precision by an easy comparing method when the peaks which form a trace among peaks of respective frames are followed up in an analysis of a musical sound waveform. <P>SOLUTION: The peak frequency of one frame is used as a base point of peak picking of a next frame as an object of peak retrieval and the spectrum of the frame as the object of peak retrieval is traced back from the base point in the direction wherein the amplitude value increases (upward). Consequently, only the peaks which should be followed up are searched for. The same processing is repeated by frames to follow up peaks without any processing for complicated peak comparison between frames. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
