摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a calcining apparatus for production of an inorganic phosphor, which has durability so excellent that it neither undergoes cracking nor causes calcining unevenness even when subjected to repeated thermal shock such as rapid heating/rapid cooling during course of the production and is excellent in the production efficiency and stability of the inorganic phosphor, to provide a calcining vessel and to provide a method for the production of the inorganic phosphor. <P>SOLUTION: The calcining apparatus for the production of the inorganic phosphor is one having at least a furnace core tube and producing the inorganic phosphor by calcining an inorganic phosphor precursor in the tube, wherein coefficient of linear thermal expansion of the tube is at most 1&times;10<SP>-6</SP>/&deg;C, and a means for heating the tube to 1,200&deg;C or higher and for raising or lowering the temperature of the tube at a rate of at least 15&deg;C/min is provided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
