<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thrust race used for a thrust bearing with needle rollers. <P>SOLUTION: First race components 58, 72 include flat and circular raceway portions 56, 76 defining an axis line 60 as the center and a lip portion 62 extending in an axial line direction. A plurality of the needle rollers 52 are arranged in a radial direction in relation to the axis line for rolling contact with the flat raceway. A bearing cage 54 holds the needle rollers and can engage with the lip portion of the first components for guiding the bearing cage. Second race components 64, 74 made of different materials contain flat portions 66, 80 contacting with race portions of the first race components and lip portions 68, 82 extending over the lip portions of the first race components in the axis line and radial directions from the flat portions. The second race components are engaged with the bearing cage so as to hold the first race components, the second race components and the bearing cage together as an assembly. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
