PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of there being a possibility that useful information for a user cannot be provided, as only specific contents prepared in advance as a database whose index is positional information, such as map information, is provided. SOLUTION: The system is provided with a presearch means for conducting information search based on a preset condition, an information storage means to store the result of search by the presearch means, an information processing means to extract the information conforming to the positional information from the stored information in the information storage means, an information providing device for providing the information extracted by the information processing means to a mobile terminal, and a gateway device which relays communication by a mobile terminal existent in its own communication area, and also transmits the requested information with added own positional information to the information providing device, if the mobile terminal issues a request for information to the information providing device.
