PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display panel which is capable of suppressing the occurrence of yellowing and breakdown of a dielectric layer. SOLUTION: In this plasma display panel, glass which contains a metal oxide MO<SB>2</SB>, capable of arranging ions in trivalent or tetravalent in the glass, is used for glass constituting a dielectric layer 13. As a result, even if Ag of electrodes 12a<SB>2</SB>and 12b<SB>2</SB>consisting of Ag is ionized and diffused into the dielectric layer 13, ionized state can be maintained without turning into colloidal state due to coagulation. Therefore, the occurrence of yellowing and breakdown due to being a colloidal state of Ag are suppressed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
