PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vegetable dewaterer that reduces the processing cost of ground vegetables by reducing a man-hour for dewatering the ground vegetables. SOLUTION: The vegetable dewaterer 1 includes: a hopper-shaped body 2 having an opening for supply of ground vegetables in an upper portion; a substantially semicylindrical perforated plate 2b disposed in a lower portion of the body 2; a ribbon type rotary vane 4 having a circumferential portion 2a rotating near the perforated plate 2b in the body 2; a hot air introducing means 6 for introducing hot air into the body 2 from under the perforated plate 2b; a dewatered vegetable outlet 13 bored in the lower portion of the body 2 to discharge dewatered vegetables passed through holes in the perforated plate 2b from the system; and a drain hole 14 bored in the lower portion of the body 2 to discharge moisture separated from the ground vegetables from the system. The holes bored in the perforated plate 2b are preferably a circular hole of a diameter of 2 mm to 3 mm. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
