<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission line and transmitter-receiver capable of reducing conductor loss as well as increasing design flexibility of a dielectric substrate. <P>SOLUTION: A protruding part 2 is formed on the reverse face 1B of the dielectric substrate 1, and conductor layers 3, 4 are formed on the front face 1A and the reverse face 1B respectively. A plurality of through-holes 5 are provided at both right and left sides of a protruding part 2. An opening 6 is formed at a position corresponding to the protruding part 2, and a waveguide 7 is mounted to encompass the opening 6.
