<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that optical characteristics of a gain equalizer cannot be changed after housing a WDM coupler in a pressure resistant case body in a conventional gain equalizer. <P>SOLUTION: A non-reflection terminating processing of the WDM couplers 101 and 102 is performed on the outside of the pressure resistant case body and the optical characteristics of the gain equalizer are changed even after housing the WDM couplers in the pressure resistant case body. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
