PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a linear beam microwave tube which is capable of improving breakdown voltage characteristics and heat dissipation characteristics to be approximately the same as that of a medium power linear microwave tube. SOLUTION: This linear beam microwave tube comprises a collector 4, which collects electron beam and has a notched portion 8 in its upper portion, an insulator 6 which has a slot portion at a position corresponding to the notched portion 8 and has the same width as that of the notched portion 8. In particular, the distance between the end of the relieving portion 10 of a radiator 7 and the lower end of a slot portion 9 in the insulator 6 is set to be approximately five times the depth of the notched portion 8 in the collector 4.
