PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup transport that can prevent adverse effects on the pickup transport caused by foreign matters sticking on the transport shaft and viscous load change on the shaft. SOLUTION: This is an optical pickup transport to move the pickup 15 along a shaft 16 with a certain drive source, and three cutoffs 16a are made axially on the outer surface of the shaft 16 to secure gaps between the outer surface of the shaft 16 and the inner surface of the bearings 15b of the optical pickup 15.
