PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hinge device that is capable of keeping a closed state without using a closing and opening mechanism since the hinge device is locked to be unable to turn when a closing and opening cover is closed and is excellent in operationality, for example, that for opening the closing and opening cover, it may be merely moved without releasing operation and furthermore is capable of being also used in a state in which the closing and opening cover is turned in a releasing direction at an angle of about 180 degrees in relation to a main body. SOLUTION: The hinge device is so structured as follows. A pivot axis 6 is provided with a first turning body 12 turning with the pivot axis and a bearing portion 8 is provided with a second turning body 13 turning with the bearing portion. On one location of the first turning body, there is provided a cam portion 9 or a cam engaging portion, and on one location of the second turning body, there is provided a cam engaging portion or a cam portion, so that even if at least a first coupling body 5 turns from a turn-lock state in which the cam portion engages with the cam engaging portion at an angle of 180 degrees relative to a second coupling body 7, it is prevented that the cam engaging portion and the cam portion re-engage with each other to cause a turn-lock state.
