<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems that a timer for counting time for transiting to a power saving condition is cleared even in the case of an operation without requiring a fixing device and that useless power is consumed since an operation display part is lit when the power saving conditions is released even in the case of an operation without requiring the operation display part such as simple print out and printing of received facsimile in the conventional composite device. <P>SOLUTION: The composite device transits to a proper power saving condition depending on a case and countdown to the power saving condition of each of first and second timers is not stopped in the case of irrelevant operations by separately providing the first timer by which first structure transits to the power saving condition and the second timer by which second structure transits to the power saving mode and furthermore, separately providing operations for clearing the timers.
