PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photographing system that can remotely control both a photographing device and a motor-driven universal head by means of a single remote controller without the need for integrating the photographing device and the motor- driven universal head so as to remarkably enhance the operability and employ the inexpensive photographing device and motor-driven universal head and to provide the photographing device and the motor-driven universal head. SOLUTION: The remote controller is provided with a function of remotely controlling both the photographing device and the motor-driven universal head, the photographing device discriminates whether a control signal received from the remote controller is addressed to its own or to the motor-driven universal head, the photographing device transfers the control signal to the motor-driven universal head when the control signal is addressed to the motor-driven universal head, controls various functions of its own by using the control signal when the signal is addressed to the photographing device, on the other hand, the motor-driven universal head receives the control signal sent from the photographing device mounted on a camera mount and controls the operation of the camera mount by using this control signal.
