The drive assembly (1) is for moving a number of objects, such as frames/screens in a greenhouse and comprises a drive device with a drive motor (2) and incorporating a rotating output shaft. A metal drive shaft (5) comprises a tube coupled at one end to the output shaft and at the other end to a conversion device (4) for converting rotating movement to a further movement. The coupling between the drive shaft and the output shaft comprises an accommodation in the drive shaft for receipt of a round stub of the output shaft. One end of the tube has a plastically deformed part, limited at least one side by a ring maintaining the deformation. The conversion device is provided with a driven rack (6), with which a frame (7) can be opened. The drive motor works in conjunction with a reduction gear (3).
