<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk apparatus capable of precisely calculating the optimum recording power for the high-speed recording on the outer circumferential part, even when the high-speed recording for the outer circumferential part cannot be performed in a test recording region. <P>SOLUTION: In the optical disk apparatus recording on an optical disk by making the recording velocity on the outer circumferential part at a high-speed with respect to the recording velocity on an inner circumferential part of the optical disk, the optimum recording power for the high-speed recording on the outer circumferential part can be precisely calculated, even when the high- speed recording on the outer circumferential part cannot be performed in the test recording region, by providing optimum recording power calculation means S26 and S28 obtaining the optimum recording power in a session in which the recording is performed by writing close session information in a close session information region, at the recording speed at which the recording on the test writing region of the most inner circumference of the disk is impossible. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
