<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method for an optical device which obtains a clear projection picture when a projection optical system is assembled, an optical device produced by the method and a projector provided with the optical device. <P>SOLUTION: In an optical characteristic gaining process S1, an optical characteristic value of a projection lens which is assembled into the optical device is gained. Subsequently, in a deviation quantity calculating process S7, a deviation quantity with respect to the reference position of a liquid crystal panel is calculated in accordance with the optical characteristic of the gained projection lens. Thereafter, in a synthetic light detecting process S8, synthetic light emitted from the light emission end surface of a cross dichroic prism is detected by a luminous flux detecting device and, at the same time, in a light modulation device position adjusting process S11, the calculated deviation quantity is added and a positional adjustment of the liquid crystal panel is performed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
