PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video camera apparatus provided with a built-in microphone incorporated into a video camera body and an external microphone placed at other place that measures a distance between the video camera body and the external microphone by using a signal from the external microphone so as to naturally collect sound in interlocking with video. SOLUTION: The video camera apparatus is provided with the built-in microphone placed in the video camera body and the external microphone placed at the other place and has a function of measuring a distance between the external microphone and the video camera body by using a reception section in the inside of the video camera with a signal from a transmission section placed in the external microphone.
