PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a board dividing apparatus by which electrical circuit boards lined up vertically and horizontally in plane via ribs can be divided easily and efficiently without having a bad influence on mounted components. SOLUTION: The board dividing apparatus is provided with a die 4 mounted on a base 3 just under each rib (j) so as to support the circuit boards P lined by each rib (j) in the planer shape, a shearing tool 11 forming a flat cutting edge part 11A used to punch each rib (j) mounted on the die 4, a cylinder 21 used to move the shearing tool 11 up and down on each rib (j), an X-axis feeder 15 and a Y-axis feeder 20 which relatively move the base 3 and the shearing tool 11 and which sequentially position the shearing tool 11 on each rib (j), and a tool rotation means 24 which sets the cutting edge 11A at the shearing tool at right angles to each rib (j) just under it.
