PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcast receiver that increases no download time and eliminates the need for processing invalidating data downloaded on the way. SOLUTION: The digital broadcast receiver checks a program having already been downloaded in advance, acquires a program independently of its necessity when the program is receivable at present and not acquired yet, and stores the program to a storage medium such as an HDD. Further, on the occurrence of a program to be acquired, the digital broadcast receiver first confirms whether or not the storage medium such as the HDD stores this program, stores this program to a Flash when existing, acquires a program transmitted by an In-band from a center when not in existence and stores the program to the Flash.
