PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a serial data communication device in which a serial transfer rate can be maximized at all the time by making the transfer rate of the serial transfer variable. SOLUTION: The device is composed of a first data line (Data1), synchronizing line (Syn1), and clock line (Clk1) for transferring data from a first CPU 1 to a second CPU 2, a first interruption line (INT1) for reporting a change in an operational speed of the first CPU 1 to the second CPU 2, a second data line (Data2), synchronizing line (Syn2), and clock line (Clk2) for transferring data from the second CPU 2 to the first CPU 1, a second interruption line (INT2) for reporting a change in an operating speed of the second CPU 2 to the first CPU 1, and a transfer rate table 10 respectively provided in the first CPU 1 and the second CPU 2 and sets the transfer of data between the first CPU and the second CPU corresponding to the CPU operational speed.
