PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the possibility that a portable telephone is successful in searching a GPS satellite. SOLUTION: When the portable telephone receives a code phase expressing search timing and the parameter of a search window expression a searching time from a position information server, it corrects and sets the received parameter so that the search timing is moved or the searching time is lengthened (S104). It searches the GPS satellite to get GPS satellite information based on the search timing and the searching time corrected and set (S105). It can be avoided that the search timing set by the position information server is out of the searching time when the portable telephone actually searches the GPS satellite by correcting and setting the parameter, before the occurrence.
