<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a commodity sales system that individually manufactures a custom commodity by printing an image appearing in a book on a desired material to sell. <P>SOLUTION: Image identification information for identifying the image is previously added (information adding means) in a book that is sold in a book shop and includes the image of painting and calligraphic work, photograph, illustration or the like provided for reading or appreciation. A user specifies the image appearing in the book using the image identification information, specifies a material on which the image is printed and places an order (commodity ordering means) for a commodity being the material on which the image is printed. Then, the system acquires, from an image database with which the image appearing in the book is registered, the image data identified by the specified image identification information, and prints (commodity manufacturing means) the image on the specified material to individually manufacture the custom commodity desired by the user. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
