PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image management method and an image storage size management system.

SOLUTION: Using a reduction standard, it is determined how much to reduce the storage size of an image over the time progress. In a first embodiment, reduction of data storage size degrades the image quality. A reduced image replaces the previous reduced image. The reduced image storage size allows longer access to the information in quick access storage and quicker transmission time.
